Yui

Yui is the second elephant we rescued to bring to Khao Lak Elephant Home. Before that she was working in an elephant ‘sanctuary’ performing shows for tourists. At the time we rescued her she was performing whilst being 18 months pregnant. So it was a huge achievement to get her out of that situation and bring her to us where she could give birth to her baby Koyah in a safe and calm environment.

Yui has an outgoing personality and loves to make loud noises as she asks for food. Anyone who then comes with food will be her favourite. At least until the next source of food arrives.
